Joint Symposium with St Paul’s Girls’ School

Joint Symposium, held at St Paul’s Girls’ School on Thursday 16 October.

The Upper Eighth recipients of our internal High Master’s Prize Presentation award joined their counterparts from the Girls’ School in a shared celebration of academic distinction. The event was a true testament to scholarly excellence, with pupils demonstrating rigorous intellectual engagement, a spirit of inquiry, and accomplishments driven by perseverance, determination, and genuine passion for learning. Our winners spoke about deepfake detection, supersonic flight, the best strategy for winning at Monopoly, and the future of plastic recycling to an audience of peers, school staff, and invited family and friends. This was followed by a winners’ meal hosted by the team at St Paul’s Girls’ School where the winners and some lucky staff were able to hear more about how these projects came into being.

St Paul’s Winners:

• Alex – Low-Boom Aircraft: A New Horizon For Commercial Supersonic Flight?
• Vyom – What is the Best Strategy in Monopoly – Markov Chains v Machine Learning
• Ebuka – The Plastic Paradox: An Overview on the Efficiency and Future of Plastic Recycling Methods
• Aryaman – TriSpectra: A Tri-Modal Architecture for Robust Audio Deepfake Detection
