Lower Eighth Musician Performs at the Prokofiev Festival 

Well done to Lower Eighth musician Calvin on his recent performance at the Prokofiev Festival.

On Friday 28 May, Lower Eighth musician Calvin performed in the second Prokofiev Festival. Calvin was selected for the ‘Gifted Children’s Concert’ at the Russian Cultural House in Kensington, and he gave Prokofiev’s challenging third piano sonata a performance. The Festival is run by Russian pianist Yulia Chaplina, who gave a masterclass at St Paul’s two years ago. Calvin very much enjoyed being a part of the concert: “It was a real privilege, and a very enjoyable experience to play in front of a live audience again.”
