Matteo & Ivo continue their National Schoolboys’ Rackets Success

Matteo & Ivo at the National Schools’ Doubles Championships at Queens Club.

After making National Schools Rackets Singles history last December, Matteo Perper hoped to make more Rackets history last March, when as top seeds with partner, Ivo Macdonald, competed in the National Schools’ Doubles Championships at Queens Club. Unfortunately, although Matteo & Ivo cruised to the final, and leading 2-1 in the best of 7 game match against Eton, they lost a crucial 4th game in the set, 17-15, which had they won, could so easily have given them the result they’d worked so hard for. As it was, Matteo & Ivo, who have a magnificent National Schoolboys’ Rackets record both individually and as a pair, lost this final 2-4. They are to be congratulated at their achievements thus far.
