Model United Nations Conference 2025

A team of 18 SPS pupils from the Fifth to the Lower Eighth Forms participated in the Godolphin & Latymer Model United Nations conference on Saturday, representing Thailand, Syria and the USA

Louis Kleinwort and Nathaniel Weldon both had their resolutions debated and passed by their committees, which is particularly impressive given that this was their first time at a MUN conference.

Ian Stephanakis won Highly Commended Delegate for representing Syria on EcoSoc, whilst Zen Okada also won Highly Commended Delegate for representing Thailand on the Defence and Disarmament Committee; Teddy Niedringhaus was awarded Best Delegate for representing the USA on the latter.

Max Bauer won Most Accurate to Country for representing the USA on the Environmental Committee, and Alex Khosrowpanah-Falcone won Best Delegate for representing the USA on the Human Rights Committee. Gabe Joseph and Cillian Brahman (both Lower Eighth) chaired the Defence Committee and EcoSoc with commendable efficiency and, at the close of the conference, Alex K-F, Max B, Teddy, Henry Scott Williams, Azmere Hassan and Aditya Bhimalingham were awarded the prize for Best Delegation for their excellent work as the USA throughout the event.
