Music Concerts and Achievements

We would like to congratulate to Jude Carter (Lower Eighth) who gained a Distinction in his ARSM Diploma on the recorder last week.

On Sunday 28 November, the Colet Choral Society put on its long-delayed performance of Mozart’s Requiem in the Wathen Hall. The concert featured a blend of St Paul’s School and professional musicians, four professional soloists and the community choir.

“Conducting Mozart Requiem last night was a big tick off the bucket list, 30 years after first getting to know it as a boy alto. I could not have been more proud of the St Paul’s School pupils in the orchestra, though – such professionalism and goodwill after a tough week for them.” Director of Music, Mark Wilderspin

This Sunday, we look forward to the Jazz Set in the Wathen Hall. Groups from the St Paul’s jazz programme will present a selection of arrangements covering a range of jazz styles, with everything from Miles Davis and John Coltrane to Sonny Rollins and Brad Mehldau. The senior band, swing band and senior combo will all be featured. Tickets are £6 (£3 concessions). If you would to book, please click here.
