On Friday 14 and Saturday 15 May, the Music School hosted the Music Teachers Association Annual Conference, which had live elements broadcast from the Wathen Hall but was almost entirely virtual.
The conference saw over 100 virtual delegates logging on to over 20 separate CPD sessions via Zoom and included a keynote talk on music and technology from composer and broadcaster Howard Goodall. Although the teaching of composition and partnership working were the main strands of the conference, a well-attended panel discussion on diversity and inclusion was chaired by the High Master and a second keynote on the importance of early years teaching.
The school was also showcased in an evening jazz set given by Lower Eighth pupils (which was pre-recorded) and a Virtual Tour of both the school and the Music Department.
