Many congratulations to our Rackets players, two of whom brought home Singles titles from the National Rackets Championships held at Queen’s Club last week.
On the Thursday, just three days before finals day, a record 7 players across the 4 different events remained in the Championships, and by Friday afternoon we had 4 semi-finalists: James and Will in the semi-finals of the U-15 Jim Dear Cup, Oliver in the U-16 Incledon-Webber Final, and Dexter in the Renny Cup for seniors.
On Saturday, James and Oliver made the finals of their events. James played brilliantly to win the Jim Dear U-15 Singles 2-0 comfortably, and Oliver won the U-16 event with outstanding 3-0 performances in the semi & 3-1 final.
The two beautiful silver trophies will be engraved and placed in our trophy cabinet at the Rackets Court for the start of term.
