On Tuesday evening, 22 March, St Paul’s came out as a regional winner to play in the final of National Schools Under 19 Chess Championships.
We played against Sir Thomas Rich, Latymer Upper and Redbourne Schools in matches lasting up to two and a half hours to win the regional. The last one yesterday, in particular, was the most difficult one where we drew and, in the end, had to go to board count. This shows the determination and focus of our team.
This is an incredible achievement for the SPS chess team. Please congratulate Teddy Onslaw, Haolin Zhao, Henry Huang, William Lau, Louis Razumovsky-Hough, Vedant Saggi and Tommaso Bailo if you teach them.
