Noah Zhou OP (2014-19) Piano Recital

On Friday 6 October pianist Noah Zhou (2014-19) gave a recital in the Wathen Hall in aid of the  bursary fund. Noah won a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music before he left St Paul’s and has just embarked upon a busy solo career. He worked after school with Justin and Michael, two of our upcoming piano stars, in an intimate masterclass that left both pupils buzzing with ideas. Then, in the evening, a strong and supportive audience (including some former pupils of Noah’s vintage) was treated to a sparkling recital that included Haydn, Janáček and Liszt before concluding with Mussorgsky’s famous Pictures at an Exhibition.

It was a wonderful occasion and a great opportunity to welcome Noah back to the Wathen Hall, a space he said held warm memories for him and to which he’d been looking forward to returning.
