Fifteen pupils and staff successfully completed a 100 mile cycle, in aid of Pauls4All’s charity of the year CALM, raising over £2,000.
The Pauls4All committee have just finished our year fundraising for various charities including the Pauls4All UK charity of the year CALM, or the Campaign Against Living Miserably, a mental health charity that focuses on preventing male suicide and encouraging dialogue and openness about mental illness among men. Initiatives ranging from a school-wide talent show to a parents and teachers’ quiz night helped us to raise a fantastic total of well over £20,0000 for the various local and national causes. Meanwhile, getting involved with CALM’s ‘Torch Songs’ initiative encouraged pupils to consider what helps them through tough times. To cap off a fantastic year, pupils and staff cycled 100miles in the Tour de Test Valley, and at school a special mufti day was held, raising further funds for CALM.
