On Wednesday 5 October, we were pleased to welcome our Visiting Music Teacher in ‘cello, Jobine Siekman, who gave a superb workshop on ‘Performing Bach’.
This offered fascinating insights into the challenges of performing Bach Cello Suites with musicianship, and how to overcome these challenges. Jobine’s performance and masterclass was mesmerising, and we were delighted to open this event to ‘cello-playing students at St Paul’s Girls’ School (SPGS) as well as to Paulines. Special mention must go to Altan (Lower Eighth) and Eva (Year 12, SPGS), who both played brilliantly at the masterclass.
