Physics Year 12 Enrichment Course

The STEM partnerships team at St Paul’s holds a range of workshops, lectures and extracurricular courses throughout the academic year primarily aimed at students in Years 10 and 12.

All students from our maintained sector partner schools are welcome to apply for these courses and attend for free, although a small deposit may be requested which is refundable upon the student completing the course.

Year 12 Physics Enrichment Programme Course Information

This is a three week course hosted over three consecutive Saturdays (22 Jan, 29 Jan and 5 February). The aim of this course is to extend the mathematical tools used in A Level physics and apply them to seemingly unrelated physical phenomena. The workshops will use questions provided by Isaac Physics.

SESSION 1: SATURDAY 22 JANUARY

Vectors: Fundamental physics and the speed of smell.

SESSION 2: SATURDAY 29 JANUARY 2021

Exponentials: Radioactivity, capacitors and pandemics.

SESSION 3: SATURDAY 5 FEBRUARY

Calculus: How we interpret change with forces and energy.

Please arrive at 9.15am to register for a prompt start.
All sessions run from 9.30am – 12.20pm with a short break halfway through the morning.
