Reigate Charity Rugby Sevens

The start of March saw the 1st VII travelling to Reigate to compete in the Reigate Charity Rugby Sevens.

The 1st VII braved the awful weather conditions to beat both Eastbourne College and Reigate Grammar School in their first two matches in their group. Sadly, they lost their final group game to Brighton College, a result which saw them finish second in the group and into the Plate Competition. In the Quarter-Final stage, St Paul’s battled hard but were beaten by Hampton School, the eventual winners of the Plate.

It was a good start to the Sevens season, with the key date in the diary for this term the National Schools’ Sevens that take place at Rosslyn Park. Hopes are high that the team would have built on this platform that they have established for themselves by the time they make the short trip to Rosslyn Park for the big day.
