Rugby Blues for Two St Paul’s Boys

On Thursday 10 Dec two recent leavers and undergraduate students played for Cambridge University in the Rugby Union Varsity Match.

Andy Rees started on the wing to gain his second blue, after making an appearance from the bench last year. George Williams was initially on the bench this year and came on at full back when British and Irish Lion Jamie Roberts left the field injured. Prof. Mark Bailey, High Master, was also present as President of Cambridge Rugby Club and unfortunately watched the boys lose 12-6 to Oxford. A proud day for the school and the boys who were both part of the outstanding St Paul’s 1STXVs in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
