It was another competitive weekend of cricket vs RGS Guildford with plenty to celebrate.
Congratulations to the 2nd XI, 14As and 14Bs for their wins, with special mention to Dr McDonnell for stepping in again to take the 14Cs at the last minute; this was hugely appreciated by both the staff and players involved on the day.
The highlight of the day, however, has to be the 1st XI amassing 381 from their 50 overs, with Anthony in the Sixth Form scoring 109 and Krish, also in the Sixth Form, scoring 194 from 39 overs, beating RGS Guildford by 223 runs. There is record of a 211 being scored in 1938 during a 2-day match, but as far as during a one-day 50-over match, this is a St Paul’s record for both the highest individual and team total scored: truly outstanding.
