We submitted 28 entries to the Screen Your Story Young Illustrators competition and the judges were extremely impressed by all of our pieces.
Harshiv Patel U1A, Ein Yoo L1T, Om Bhagat U2A and Jay Offer L3W were selected as winners, which is absolutely wonderful! They now have to wait until the results of the writing competition are announced and then they will be asked to create a second illustration to go with one of the winning stories which will be published with the story in this year’s Screen Your Story book.
The boys will also be invited to a gala evening at Olympic Cinema in the Summer Term, where they will each be presented with a free copy of the book, which will then be on sale to the public in Barnes Bookshop!
Miss Bartlett felt that as the field was so strong, several boys deserved recognition for their work and therefore the following boys have been given Head of Year Awards:
Theo Sherliker L1T, Charlie Fritz L1M, Matthew Ah Yuk Shing L1M, Noah Hasnain U1J, Aaradit Bhowmick Rakshit L2L, Aaron Malcolm L2C, Caspian Pope U2N and Nicolas Desaedeleer U3T.
A huge thank you to everyone who entered this great, new competition. Many congratulations to every entrant – you are all great artists, keep it up!
In the meantime, entries are still invited for the Screen Your Story writing competition. There is no theme this year, so stories can be on the topic of your choice. Years 3 to 6 is 500 words and Years 7 and 8 is 1000 words. The deadline is the day after half term. Let’s have some more tremendous success stories!
