A quartet of Year 11 pupils were joint winners of the Intermediate section of the Southeast Schools’ Chamber Music Competition.
On Tuesday 15 March, the quartet of Daniyal Sachee, Tom Liu, Raffaello Mizuta-Spencer and Ivo Macdonald gave a fine performance at the beautiful venue of St John’s Smith Square, for the Southeast Schools’ Chamber Music Competition.
Their performance of Mozart’s oboe quartet was delivered with panache and great musicality, and despite coming up against a fine Piano Trio from Highgate, both groups were jointly awarded the first prize for their superb performances. Daniyal Sachee (oboe) is currently a member of the prestigious National Youth Orchestra.
Congratulations to each of the boys on an excellent result.
On Tuesday evening our Sixth Form chamber group performed at the final of the Southeast Schools’ Chamber Music Competition at St George’s Hanover Square.
