SPS and SPJ Choir Performances

The SPS Chamber Choir joined forces with SPJ Recital Choir to sing choral evensong to a full St Catharine’s College Chapel in Cambridge on Saturday 5 February. There was huge support from families and also a few Old Paulines. In addition to singing, organ voluntaries were played by music award holders Cameron Soo and Ben Law (both U8th). The same choir then delivered evensong for the Old Paulines’ Feast Service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Monday evening. Music for both services included canticles and an anthem by Charles Wood, as well as plainchant responses. It was an enormous privilege for pupils to be able to have the experience of singing evensong, after a two-year hiatus.
