This past weekend, SPS students represented England at the European Schools Debating Championships in Bucharest, Romania. Despite a challenging tournament, the team reached the quarter-finals before being knocked out by eventual champions, Slovenia.
Individually, they achieved outstanding results, with Adrian Siniscalco (Lower Eighth) ranking as the 7th best speaker in Europe and his SPS teammate, Aryaman Sarda (Lower Eighth) securing 9th place out of 150 top speakers from across the continent.
With their sights now set on the upcoming Oxford and Cambridge Schools competitions, they aim to build on their experience as they prepare for the World Championships in July.
