Charity on the Court: SPS Students Organise Basketball Tournament for Medical Aid
Marco Benedetti, Jad Farrell and Monty Brown (Upper Eighth) organised a charity basketball tournament in Kensington to raise money for the Mileva Foundation and to provide the Intensive Care Unit of the General Hospital in Nikšić (Montenegro) with their own new and up-to-date blood gas analysis machine.
More than 100 players ranging from Year 8 to mid-twenties took part in the tournament and so far, has raised more than 3k of the £5,500 target. They are still accepting donations to reach their target! https://gofund.me/82c4e18a
Volunteers of the Week
Thanks to John Beck, Alex Barea, Jamie Horley, Louis Nuthall, Owen Seton-Rogers, Max Slocock and Luke Ford (all Lower Eighth) who gave up their Saturday morning for the Partnership Chemistry Course – their assistance helping students navigate the lab was hugely appreciated.
And thanks too, to Paul Lee for being so proactive in his delivery of Lego League to one of our local primary schools.
