SPS vs SPGS MasterChef Grand Final

On 24 January, the annual St Paul’s School (SPS) vs St Paul’s Girls’ School (SPGS) Masterchef competition took place at SPGS, with a high standard of competition and tremendous support shown to the participants by staff, pupils and parents of both schools.

Of the competitors from SPS, Josh produced a delicious Lebanese chicken dish served on a bed of risotto, while Vinushan baked an impressive chocolate lava cake with a raspberry coulis to accompany. Despite their efforts, the pair were beaten by a narrow margin by the SPGS pupils, who cooked up Singaporean prawns with brioche for their main course, and an impressive matcha and chocolate fondant for pudding.

Judges included staff and pupil representatives from both schools and the event was displayed to the audience live, via a camera crew operating in the SPGS canteen. Overall, the event was a great success with food produced to the highest standard and, most importantly, links between SPS and SPGS growing ever stronger. We look forward to seeing the event grow further for next year’s competition in 2026. Our thanks go to St Paul’s Girls’ School for hosting the event.
