St Paul’s Giving Day – Final Figures

As the dust settles on our first-ever Giving Day, we are delighted to report that over the 36 hours of the event, our community raised £380,000 from 636 donors.

As far as we are aware, this is the most successful UK school or Oxbridge college giving day to date. These funds will go directly towards supporting our current and future bursary pupils and expanding our partnerships work within our local community and further afield.

The enthusiastic response of the Pauline community to the virtual and on-site challenges exceeded all of our expectations. Gifts were made from members of our community across 12 different countries, including 31 donors from the USA. Overall, over 400 parents and 150 Old Paulines donated to the Giving Day, with additional support from current pupils, staff and family members.

The Thomas Gresham Committee organised the on-site challenges for pupils, including a ‘Beat the Teacher Penalty Shoot-out’, a rowing challenge and a virtual chess tournament. The excitement continued at St Paul’s Juniors with a photo challenge as well as a whole school ‘burpees’ challenge, sponsored by a generous St Paul’s Juniors parent.

We are very grateful to all the members of our community who supported the St Paul’s Development team in their delivery of this project. Our special thanks go to our Challenge Donors, whose sponsorship enabled us to run 30 challenges.
