The Lower Second Playwriting Competition was a tremendous success last week.
Over the course of the Autumn term, all 72 boys wrote a short play – these were then rehearsed and performed in the Spring before securing a top 3 per form for the competition. The result was an eclectic mix of 12 fantastic plays that were enjoyed by boys, staff and parents alike. Professional Playwright, Rachel Barnett, came in to adjudicate and the results were as follows; 3rd – Teymour with his hilariously wacky Dr Quack’s Bizarre Experiments, 2nd – Adriel with Zac’s Challenge, and 1st place went to Sam for The Old Lady.
A huge round of applause is due to all those involved, and many thanks to the costume, props, sound and lighting expertise of Miss Bower and Mr Duke. A video summarising the event can be seen HERE I can’t wait to see what next year’s Lower Second bring to the table!
