  • ​The Perse Coding Competition

    Two weeks ago, 20 of our Third Year students joined forces in teams of four to take part in the Perse Coding Competition; a national coding challenge that required them to solve problems by writing algorithms in Python. 

  • Ivan the Fool workshop

    Puppeteer Fred Davis (Running Wild and Peter Pan (Regent’s Park) and The Hartlepool Monkey (National Tour) delivered a fantastic set of workshops for our Upper Second puppeteers in Ivan the Fool & Other Stories… 

  • World Book Day Literary Cluedo

    Last Thursday, 1 March, saw a new venture for the Library. World Book Day would be celebrated not only with a Virtual Assembly but by testing the observational powers of SPJ Boys. As in Cluedo the board game, the challenge was to find which of six characters, items of destruction and places were NOT in the library by finding the other five.

  • Cookies for Elephants

    Two Upper First boys raised £86.03 for the “Save the Elephant Foundation”. 

  • Upper Third Pop-Up Exhibition

    The Art department staff transformed the Conference room into a makeshift gallery for the purpose of showing the results from the Upper Third project ‘Portrait Painting in Acrylic’.

  • Ensembles Concert

    Monday evening saw around 40 boys from L1st to U3rd take part in the Ensembles Concert in the Wathen Hall.

  • World Book Day

    In order to celebrate World Book Day, boys in the Lower First Year dressed up as the character from a book they enjoyed. 

  • Computer Science success at Oxford University

    A talented Lower Third boy came third in his age group (Junior) in a UK-wide computing competition – The UK BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge – held at the Department of Computer Science at Oxford University on 11 February.
