St Paul’s Juniors / Juniors News

Some 26 senior boys embarked on pre-season rugby training at the end of August under the watchful eyes of Mr Cattermole, Mr Stewart, Mr Page and Mr Howe in the delightful surrounds of the Pays-Basque Francais during the final days of the Summer holidays.

The trip saw the boys training every morning and then embarking on a series of excursions and activities across the locale in the afternoons and evenings. Great fun was had on the beaches, at the water park, visiting beautiful towns and attending a fiercely fought and supported game as Bayonne took on rivals Beziers. The boys worked hard and played hard and were a pleasure to be with and the match against Caldicott, who arrived the day we were leaving, was an exciting affair which although resulted in defeat, showed much promise for a successful season.
