Seven boys represented SPJ at the IAPS National Athletics Championships in Birmingham in the last week of term.

This is a highly prestigious event and showcases the enormous talent in this country on the athletics field. In a range of hotly contested events the boys from SPJ acquitted themselves exceptionally well. The relay team of Charlie, Emerick, Andreas and Nicholas collected a silver in the 4 x 100m relay; Alex gained silver in the 800m in a rapid race; Charlie ran another fast 1500m to come fourth; Hayden came 5th in the shot putt; Max Bishop 5th in the 800m and finally Andreas 7th in the 200m final. Well done to all those who took part.
