Extra-curricular Sports Clubs
The School offers a huge number of extracurricular sports activities. This gives the boys a chance to explore different sports that they might not try within the PE and Games curriculum. These clubs take place before, during and after school and include fencing, aikido, a tennis academy, swimming, squash, rackets, IPL cricket, badminton, water polo, American football, futsal, rugby sevens, an elite cricketer programme, basketball, elite running and table tennis.
House Sports Competitions
Every boy represents their House in football, rugby, swimming and cross country during their time at the School, with many others being able to do so in tennis, badminton, basketball and rugby sevens. The major House event of the year remains the Junior and Senior sports days, where every pupil from Lower First to Upper Third Years contribute to the success of their House.
During their time at St Paul's Juniors, every boy is given the opportunity to experience a sports tour. There is an annual Valencia football tour, a Jersey cricket tour, a pre-season rugby tour to Edinburgh and a ski trip. In recent years, the School has also toured South Africa for rugby, cricket and football, Barbados for cricket and America for football.
St Paul's Juniors run two annual Sports Camps at the beginning of the summer holidays and during the first week of the October half-term. These are open to all boys at St Paul's Juniors, with six sports explored every day at the camp.
Pupils at St Paul's Juniors have access to extensive and well equipped sports facilities. The School boasts over forty five acres of playing fields, a twenty five meter indoor pool, six fives courts, three squash courts, a dojo, a fencing salle and a rackets court. The boys also have access to the Multi Use Sports Area (MUGA), which comprises of six Astroturf tennis courts; six all weather cricket nets, as well as two indoor sports halls.
