St Paul’s School Autumn Concert

On Wednesday 23 November, a reassuringly full Wathen Hall audience attended one of the flagship events of the musical year: the Autumn Concert, featuring the Chapel Choir and both senior orchestras – a cast of nearly 80 performers.

On the programme was Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 (“Scottish”) and Symphony No. 2 by Ruth Gipps (a composer gaining an increasingly enthusiastic following), as well as Mussorgsky’s Night on the Bare Mountain and a medley of Gershwin swing numbers.
