Fourteen St Paul’s boys make their mark in two major US regattas over October half-term.
The coxed four of David Ambler, Freddie Davidson, Seb Benzecry, Bertie Woodward-Fisher and Vlad Saigau won their event at the Head of the Schuylkill. The Head of the Schuylkill is one of the largest races in the US. The boys were presented their prizes by Sir Steven Redgrave, British rower and five times Olympic gold medallist.
The previous week the boys raced at the Head of the Charles. St Paul’s proved to be the fastest school at the race and finished 4th overall in the youth VIIIs event.
Back in the UK, Sam Turner, Ed Trigle and Bruno Colato, assisted by their coach Mr Charles Bourne won their category at Kingston Head of the River.
