Football
The Southern Independents League returned with a full block fixture against Berkhamsted, producing a mix of strong performances, tight contests, and high-scoring encounters.

The 1st XI faced a tough challenge, losing 3-0, while the 2nd XI secured an impressive 1-0 victory thanks to disciplined defending and patient possession. The 3rd XI fell 4-1, and the 4th and 5th XI both earned hard-fought draws. U14 teams enjoyed competitive matches, including a 4-4 thriller for U14C and a 1-1 draw for U14A, while U14D were defeated 5-2.

The U16s had mixed results. The U16B and U16D impressed with 2-1 and 8-1 wins respectively, while the U16A and U16C narrowly lost. The U15s enjoyed a clean sweep of victories, highlighted by an emphatic 10-0 win from U15C. U14B drew 1-1 against a well-established side.

Rowing
Five SPS crews competed at the Hammersmith Head, marking the first race of the season. The 1st VIII was the fastest junior crew, finishing 3rd overall, just ahead of Shiplake College. The 2nd VIII came 8th, the 3rd VIII 12th, and the J16A crew won their category by over 10 seconds. Other crews, including J15A, J15B, and J15C, are now preparing for the Schools’ Head on 13 March.

Rugby Sevens
The U16 Sevens shone at the RGS Guildford tournament. After winning all group games, including 31-0 victories against St John’s and Sherborne, they progressed to the quarter-finals, defeating hosts RGS Guildford 17-7. In the semi-final against Whitgift, the team showed great resilience despite injuries and yellow cards, narrowly losing 12-5. Kai Trench (Sixth Form) earned special recognition, scoring six tries and playing every minute of the five matches.

Swimming
Lower Eighth pupil Inian Dhandapani competed at the Ealing Swimming Club Regional Qualifiers against 20 clubs. He won gold in the 50m Freestyle and bronze in the 100m Breaststroke, highlighting a strong weekend of performances.
