Local Charities selected for 2019-2020

Before half term, the St Paul’s School Charity Committee (SPCC, which represents both the senior and junior schools) met to decide which local charities the whole school will support this academic year.

  • Lunchtime Concert for FiSH

    On Friday 4 December, the Alfille-Cook quartet (Joseph Alfille-Cook, Gareth Smith, Jason Kim, and Dr Evans on viola) made the trip to Barnes village to perform for a FiSH lunchtime concert in the Barnes Green Centre.

  • Lexus Squash Cup Win

    St Paul’s School ‘did the double’ for the first time in the Lexus Independent Schools’ Squash Cup history, winning both trophies in a superb day of squash.

  • St Paul’s success in golf

    St Paul’s golf team beat Kings College Wimbledon on Wednesday 25 November, in the second round of HMC Foursomes Golf, Knockout Tournament.

  • Judo Gold Medal

    On Saturday 14 November. Hilton Forsyth, Lower Eighth, secured a gold medal at the London Area British Schools Championships.

  • Victory at the Veterrimi IV tournament

    St Paul’s dominated schools rugby at the weekend, winning the third edition of the Oldest Four or ‘Veterrimi IV’ tournament, picking up the AJ Dingle Cup.

  • St Paul’s School win at Head of the Schuylkill and fastest School at Head of the Charles

    Fourteen St Paul’s boys make their mark in two major US regattas over October half-term.

  • Out of the Blue

    On the 14 – 16 October, St Paul’s boys performed a highly original and innovative piece of drama: the world’s first stage adaptation of Simon Armitage’s thirteen part poem, Out of the Blue.

  • Navy Blues Quartet play at Barnes Fashion Show

    The Lower Eighth Saxophone Quartet, known as the “Navy Blues” Quartet on account of them all wearing blue suits, performed a lively music set in front of a packed St Mary’s Church as part of the Barnes Charity Fashion show on 14 and 15 October.

  • The High Master’s Prize

    On Monday 12 October, three boys from St Paul’s – alongside two girls from St Paul’s Girls School – presented in the Samuel Pepys Theatre on a topic they had independently chosen, and investigated over the summer.

  • Science Uncovered at the Natural History Museum

    On Friday 25th September, Ollie Glover-Wilson, James Waszkiewicz, and Darius Zarrabian represented St Paul’s School at the annual Science Uncovered event at the Natural History Museum.
