Rackets originated in the debtors' prisons of the mid-18th century, preceding squash — a miniature version of the game … played with a soft ball!
There are now 14 schools which play rackets and we all employ full-time professionals to coach the sport. Boys who take up rackets can look forward to a full programme of school fixtures and the twice annual Public School Championships, held at the Queen's Club in London. We're immensely fortunate in our outstanding court — built through the generosity of an anonymous benefactor.
In addition to all this, we also run a popular evening rackets club.
