Two SPS/SPGS Young Enterprise Teams Progress to the Pan-London and South East Finals

We are delighted to share that two St Paul’s and St Paul’s Girls’ School Young Enterprise teams have progressed to the Pan-London and South-East England Final on Thursday 22 May at Amazon HQ in the City.

Grounded is a joint St Paul’s School (SPS) and St Paul’s Girls’ School (SPGS) team of Lower Eighth (Year 12) pupils competing in this year’s Young Enterprise Competition. Their co-MDs are Lara (SPGS) and Alex (SPS). They have overcome the challenges of being located in two separate schools to develop and manufacture an innovative product, the ‘Growth Journal’, which allows individuals to record their feelings on compostable paper and then plant them (if they so wish). The paper is embedded with wild flower seeds, allowing any emotions to be converted into beautiful flowers.

They have sold over 85 units with a further 200 on pre-order, generating revenues of over £1800. Following success in the North London Final, they will compete in the next round of the competition: the pan-London and South-East England final.

Canopy, another St Paul’s YE team, who were competing in the South London final, won Best Company to go through to the Pan-London & SE Final finals next Thursday. Canopy sells a self-manufactured 3D printed self-watering plant pot and is led by MD, Ronit. You can read about Canopy’s success in the Kingston and Richmond finals here.

This is an historic moment for Pauline entrepreneurs as for the first time we will have two teams competing at the London & SE finals at Amazon HQ, for a place in the National Final in June.
