Techognition Day

#Techognition celebrates the work of all technicians in UK schools and colleges (Art, IT, Engineering or D&T, Science, Drama and Electronics).

Thanks to the wonderful Science Technician team, the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ was set up for Techognition Day on Friday 10 March 2023. The cabinet in the Physics corridor was very well received by pupils and staff. The rare and utterly bizarre objects and artefacts from the science stores were on display at break and lunchtime and attracted the attention of many who were able to examine the objects.

The sessions provided an excellent opportunity to chat to students, let them know what technicians do and why we celebrate #Techognition. Technicians provide essential support to their respective departments and events like this one are paramount to highlight the spectacular work they do on a daily basis.
