On 10-11 March, Philip Kastner (Sixth Form) and Gregory Zoppos (Fifth Form) competed in the England U17 Indoor Heptathlon Championships in Sheffield. Both athletes performed admirably, with Philip finishing 9th overall with 4351 points and Gregory finishing 17th with 3546 points, from a field of 26 competitors.
Along the way, Philip set personal bests in all seven
events including new school U17 records in the long
jump (6.41m) and pole vault (2.76m), whilst Gregory
set four new personal bests. This concludes the indoor
season, and all the athletes now look forward to the
summer outdoor season, which kicks off on 21st April
with the trials at Eton.
