Victory at the Veterrimi IV tournament

St Paul’s dominated schools rugby at the weekend, winning the third edition of the Oldest Four or ‘Veterrimi IV’ tournament, picking up the AJ Dingle Cup.

In a spectacular weekend of rugby, St Paul’s dominated the tournament commencing with a 23-5 win over Cheltenham and a 15-5 win over Sherborne on Saturday. This was followed by a commanding final game on Sunday over Durham pulling in a 22-5 victory.

Originated in 2010, this was the third Oldest Four competition. The tournament, as the name suggests, is between four of the oldest rugby playing schools in the country.

The victorious St Paul’s team were handed over the AJ Dingle Cup by Gloucester and England star, Jonny May.
