On Wednesday, Canopy – the Young Enterprise company, consisting of 14 Lower Eighth pupils and led by Ronit – was awarded the 2nd Best Overall Company at the Young Enterprise UK Finals held at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The company designed, produced, and manufactured self-watering plant pots, selling over 120 units. They were also awarded the Technology and Innovation Prize, having also developed a companion iOS app, which leverages AI to monitor plant health and assess potential diseases.
The whole team are congratulated for this significant, national achievement.
