Our three Young Enterprise teams continue to work hard on their business ideas, getting ready to sell at Spitalfields Trade Fair on Tuesday 8 March – do come and say hello if you are in the area!
Please see individual updates from the teams below:
Nutree
Nutree is a team of Lower Eighth students competing in Young Enterprise. After five months of development, we are delighted to announce that we have finally launched our Chrome extension! While looking at a product on Tesco’s website you can tap our Chrome extension and it will display our health and sustainability ratings, alongside healthier and more sustainable alternatives. Feel free to check out our website here, where you can also download our Chrome extension. We would hugely appreciate any advice or feedback, particularly if you know anyone in the FoodTech industry!
Ceintury
Our team (Ceintury) took a few weeks to decide what product to make. However, we eventually decided to make a new and improved belt. From that point on, we raced ahead with trying to fund it, and after raising nearly £2,000 from 2 school fairs, various fundraising endeavours and shareholder investments, we have begun to build our final product! It took 4 prototypes and a lot of material and consumer research to get to this stage of the design but we are now creating our very own vegan and magnetic belts. Leading up to the trade fairs now, our marketing team has created a new brand for the company, complete with banners, business cards, infographics and a new website, ready to engage with customers. We hope to continue on our path and keep innovating as a company.
Noggin:
At Noggin, we are working hard to bring to the world an extremely exciting, highly stimulating and thoroughly enjoyable game to help beat brain decline from the effects of Alzheimer’s. We believe that no one should have to suffer from the effects of cognitive decline and neuro-degeneration, and we will work to delay the inevitable as far as possible.
