Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

After a hiatus during Covid, St Paul’s resumed face to face Mental Health First Aid training for staff this week.

This training, delivered by externally accredited St Paul’s teachers, helps attendees to spot the signs of mental ill health and provide ongoing support to pupils who may be finding things difficult. All tutors in the senior school are offered the chance to complete the course, as well as many other colleagues from the co-curricular and support departments. The one-day Mental Health ‘champions’ course was also offered to the Upper Eighth leavers in the summer as part of their post-exam enrichment programme. It equipped them with the skills to look after themselves and support their peers at university and beyond.
