Facilities & Hires

St Paul's School is located on 45 acres of green open space on the banks of the River Thames in Barnes, London. With excellent transport links and ample on-site parking, we are the perfect location for an array of events, from regular hires in our Sports Hall to large conferences or charity dinners.

Please click on the venues below for further details and information regarding what each venue has to offer. Our spaces are predominantly available for hire after school (6.30pm onwards), on weekends, and during school holidays. A list of our term dates can be found here.

General Hires

Montgomery Room

Capacity:

The Montgomery Room (‘Monty Room’) at St Paul’s School is a spacious and well-equipped room available for hire. With bifold doors opening up to our courtyard and plenty of natural light, it can be used for various events.

Dorfman Theatre

Capacity:
  • Theatre - 280

The Dorfman Theatre is a state-of-the-art venue with tiered seating for up to 280. It is equipped with professional AV equipment, excellent acoustics and provides a dynamic setting for an array of events.

John Colet Hall

John Colet Hall is one of our spacious and versatile assembly halls with retractable seating. Located in our general teaching building, this modern space provides a professional and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of breakout spaces nearby.

Boardroom

The Boardroom is a flexible space ideal for meetings, presentations, training sessions and workshops or as a breakout space. Equipped with modern AV technology and comfortable seating, it supports collaborative discussions and focused work in a bright and professional setting.

Dining Hall

The Dining Hall is a spacious and versatile venue that is available for hire. The space is easily transformable to suit your event and can be arranged for various layouts. The dining hall ensures a comfortable and well-appointed environment for large gatherings or more significant functions.

Our pavilion is available for hire, offering a versatile and stylish venue for parties, celebrations, and special events. Featuring bifold doors that open up to scenic outdoor space, it’s perfect for summer gatherings, children’s birthdays, and receptions.

Sports Facilities

Sports Hall

Our sports hall is perfect for hire, featuring five-lane cricket nets, a full-sized Basketball court, five Badminton courts, and a volleyball court. Ideal for training, matches, and events, it offers great facilities for various sports.

3G Pitch

Our top-quality 3G pitch is available for hire, featuring 11-a-side football and rugby markings. Perfect for matches, training sessions, one-off tournaments, and birthday parties, the pitch offers a professional playing surface in all weather conditions, with changing rooms and toilets nearby.

Performance Centre

Our Performance Centre is a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning facility available for hire. Since opening in 2023, it has been a popular space amongst the St Paul’s staff and pupil body. It is available for hire for Sports teams, Strength and Conditioning coaches, training course providers and companies offering fitness classes.

Swimming Pool

Our swimming pool is a high-quality facility which can be hired for training, lessons, and group sessions. With 6 lanes and 25m long, it is ideal for clubs, schools, and training course providers; it offers a well-maintained, heated pool in a professional setting.

Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)

Our Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) is available for hire, featuring six high-quality tennis courts, perfect for matches, coaching, and recreational play.

Dojo

Our dojo offers a premium training space for martial arts or gymnastics clubs. Featuring high-quality matting, it’s perfect for clubs and instructors with changing rooms and showers available too.

Gymnasium

Our school’s traditional Gymnasium is available for hire, offering a great space for fitness training, volleyball, photoshoots, and sports activities for children.

Music Hires

Wathen Hall and Music School

Opened to the public in 2000, the Wathen Hall is the centre-piece of the music facility at St Paul’s.

The Wathen Hall enjoys a wonderful, natural acoustic and benefits from its relatively secluded position on the banks of the Thames. The hall has an intimate feel, with good sight-lines from all parts of the room.

In addition to being a superb concert and rehearsal venue, the Wathen Hall is ideally suited to recording solo and chamber music. The stage area is large enough to accommodate a small chamber orchestra, while also providing an intimate space for smaller groups. There is a separate mixing room linked to the hall via cable duct, and superb recording settings due to its quiet location.
