Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

1 in 10 children and young people aged 5 to 16 suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder - that is around three children in every class. More than half of all adults with mental health problems were diagnosed in childhood. Less than half were treated appropriately at the time.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised training course designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health in young people from ages 8 to 18.

At St Paul’s, we deliver the course with a particular focus on the needs of teachers; providing you with the information and skills required to promote whole school wellbeing and to support individual pupils experiencing mental health issues and/or emotional distress. We are certified the full range of Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses.

  • Spot the early signs of a mental health problem
