Opened to the public in 2000, the Wathen Hall has been received enthusiastically by performers and recording companies alike.
The hall enjoys a wonderful, natural acoustic and benefits from its relatively secluded position on the banks of the River Thames.
The Wathen Hall has an intimate feel with excellent acoustics and good sight-lines from all parts of the hall.
Seating capacity (on raked seating) is 316 and the stage area of 135 square metres is sufficient to accommodate larger ensemble performances. Backstage rooms are available for hire as Green Rooms or breakout rooms for rehearsals.
The Foyer, with large glass doors, opens out onto a lawn that overlooks the River Thames providing an attractive entrance point for the Hall. A Bar area provides facilities to serve a range of light refreshments and drinks whilst admiring the scenic surroundings.
There are two Steinway grand pianos available in the hall (Model D and Model AS), which are maintained regularly by Steinway and Sons. A Lammermuir chamber organ and a double manual French style harpsichord are also available.
A projector is available for use for presentation of visual displays on the back wall of the stage. Microphones for spoken word are available, and amplification for this is through a state of the art d&b audiotechnik PA system.
The Wathen Hall has disabled access, a lift, and adapted toilet facilities. Free parking is available on site.
The school also offers support for charitable organisations hosting events.

The Wathen Hall is ideally suited to the recording of solo and chamber music and is large enough to accommodate a small chamber orchestra, while also providing an intimate space for smaller groups.
A large room with cable duct to the hall is available as a Control Room, enabling hires to bring in their own equipment.
