St Paul’s School seeks to appoint a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its Core Strategy team.

This is a newly created role, reflecting the growing scale and complexity of the School. Following a sustained period of significant capital investment, St Paul’s is in a robust financial position and now seeks to ensure that its resources are deployed with greater clarity, coordination and strategic intent.

Reporting to the High Master, the COO will act as a key strategic partner, with responsibility for shaping financial strategy and ensuring that operations, infrastructure and investment are aligned with the School’s educational ambitions.

St Paul’s also sits at the centre of a recently established St Paul’s School Group, bringing together a small number of partner preparatory schools. While the role will primarily be focused on St Paul’s School, the COO will contribute to the development of this wider model, supporting the effective use of resources across the Group.

The successful candidate will bring substantial senior leadership experience, underpinned by strong financial acumen and the credibility to advise at Board level. They will be able to translate strategic ambition into clear financial and operational priorities, bringing coherence, discipline and forward planning to decision-making.

Equally important will be personal style. The School is seeking a collaborative and intellectually credible leader, able to build trust, operate with sound judgement in a non-profit context, and contribute effectively within a collegiate and high-performing environment.

Commencing September 2026 – 31 August 2027

We are looking for a recently qualified and talented sports graduate who is keen to contribute to our dynamic sports programme. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable teaching and coaching experience and be part of an accomplished sports team. The successful candidate will contribute to sporting and co-curricular programmes across the school and coach across a variety of sports, providing cover where necessary, including weekends and evenings for fixtures. This is a one-year fixed term post with the potential for renewal for a second year.

Salary: Competitive plus benefits.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, to be confirmed with the Director of Sport – and these may vary week to week. The role is offered on the basis of term time plus 2 weeks during the school holidays.

Commencing Autumn Term 2026.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to support both ICT and sport at St Paul’s Prep School. This varied role includes assisting with digital learning, supporting pupils and staff, contributing to school-wide ICT initiatives, and helping deliver a vibrant sports programme, including coaching and fixtures. The successful candidate will also play an active role in co-curricular activities and wider school life. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for technology, sport, and working with young people.

Salary: Competitive plus benefits

Hours: Term-time only, 34 weeks. Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm with one hour (unpaid) for breaks. In addition, there will be Saturday/weekend/evening commitments (e.g. sports fixtures, school trips, entrance exam days, Open Mornings, concerts and plays).

Commencing Autumn Term 2026.

A space has become available for a Visiting Music Teacher (Guitar) to use the facilities at St Paul’s School and St Paul’s Prep School.

Visiting Music Teachers (VMTs) are self-employed and the contract for provision of lessons is between parents and the VMT.  VMT Service Agreements and arrangements for instrumental lessons are managed by the Music School Manager (MSM) who acts as an agent in making the contractual arrangements with parents.

Currently there will be around 12 students, with scope to increase this over the year. The teaching day is Monday or Thursday only. The teaching rate for 2026/27 will be £38.84/35-minute lesson.
