University Destinations

The most recent year for which the school has a full list of the destinations of St Paul’s leavers is 2019 since many pupils take a GAP year and apply to university after taking their A Levels. You can download this here.

A list of university destinations for 2020 leavers will be available in September 2021.

For the 2019 leavers, 186 pupils opted to attend and took up places at universities. Out of these, 163 went to universities in the UK and 23 to universities abroad including 22 to the USA.

Of those staying in the UK, 93% (152) went on to Russell Group universities, with 32% (52 pupils) entering Oxford or Cambridge.

Of those going abroad, 22 have chosen to study in the USA at Ivy League or equivalent universities; one has chosen to study at the Malta Campus of Queen Mary University, London.

106 out of 186 university-bound pupils who left in 2019 (57%) are studying at universities ranked within the top 20 in the QS 2020 World University Rankings.
