The Visit – Fourth and Fifth Form Production

The Visit, by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, translated by Patrick Bowles, directed by Holly Mazur.

Claire Zachanassian returns to her home town after a long absence. In her time away, she has amassed a fortune, while the town has begun to crumble after decades of neglect. Claire comes armed with an offer: a large sum of money to rescue the town, in exchange for the murder of one of its citizens. This powerful and profound tragicomedy, one of the most significant works of twentieth century German language theatre, will be performed by a talented cast of fourth and fifth form actors.
