Over half term, 27 Sixth Form Germanists enjoyed a week in Berlin. With mornings spent refining their language skills in joint classes with SPGS pupils, afternoons were filled exploring the city, including visits to the Olympic Stadium, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdam and Hohenschönhausen, the former Stasi prison. The group took in their first-ever live handball game one evening, as well as sampling some of the city’s traditional cuisines.
