Success at the Quiz Club National Championships

Congratulations to the boys who took part in the Quiz Club National Championships area heat on Tuesday morning.

Hosted by a professional Quizmaster with team members (one boy from the Lower First, Upper First, Lower Second and Upper Second making up a team) working together to answer 30 questions on a range of topics. A few sample questions from the quiz can be found below.

Team 1 comprised of Anton (U2L), Reeve (L2I), Ayan (U1J) and Yimu (L1M) while Team 2 involved Edward (U2L), Derin (L2A), Oliver (U1A) and Eren (L1M). Congratulations to Team 1 who won the competition beating 15 other teams in the process. Their fantastic score of 1980 points out of a possible 2000 ensured their move straight to the finals at Oxford University in June.

Team 2 also did incredibly well and was awarded a semi-final place after scoring one of the highest runner-up scores.

Well done to all boys. I will keep everyone updated on their progress through the competition.
