A Level and GCSE Results 2022

St Paul’s School is delighted to congratulate our Eighth Form students for their outstanding A Level results.

With 69% of all grades at A*, and 95.5% at A*-A, the highest in memory, our pupils can be justifiably proud of their performance. The percentage of A*-B grades was 98.8%. With the context of disruption and uncertainty in which this group of pupils spent their Eighth Form careers, as they studied through the pandemic and awaited confirmation of national plans around examinations, these results are testimony to their hard work, resilience and ambition as well as the commitment and professionalism of their teachers. Whilst we would always acknowledge that true scholarship is not just about grades and that the full worth of an individual goes far beyond the classroom and measurable achievements of this nature, it still seems appropriate to note that national exams performance at St Paul’s remains exceptionally high in a post-pandemic world. Full exam results will be published in October on our website.

Following news of the Upper Eighth success at A level and Pre-U, St Paul’s School is pleased to share information about this year’s GCSE and IGCSE results. Again, our pupils have enjoyed great success, with the highest number of 9s achieved in any year other than the Teacher Assessed Grades of last year – at almost 75%. The 9-7 figure exceeded last year at 98.9%.  47 pupils were awarded straight 9s.

Sally-Anne Huang, High Master, said:

“I am sure you will agree with me that both the pupils and their teachers deserve congratulations for this performance.  This year group will be joining the Eighth Form in a position of strength but I would once again want to acknowledge that their worth goes beyond these grades and to note their resilience and determination in working through the last two years during a period of national uncertainty and challenge. We look forward to welcoming them back to school to continue on their exciting academic journey in the Eighth Form.”
