St Paul’s LGBT+ History Week

To mark LGBT+ History Month, St Paul’s will be running a series of talks and topical discussions from Monday 1 February.

LGBT History Month focuses on the celebration and recognition of LGBT people and culture; past and present to give educators scope to talk about the bigger picture of LGBT experience, in which LGBT people were the agents of change rather than just victims of prejudice.

St Paul’s LGBT+ History Week

St Paul’s LGBT+ History Week’s theme is ‘How to be a good ally’, and the Keynote speech will be given by Nigel Owens MBE on Monday evening at 7.30pm. Talks and events will continue across the week in school, led by Spectrum, the school’s diversity society, and featuring talks on LGBTQ+ history and politics, literature and poetry, and including discussions in tutors and an assembly by the High Master.
